CBT For Perinatal OCD (Asynchronous) On Demand


The COVID-19 Pandemic has seen a dramatic rise in perinatal anxiety, depression, and OCD. New research shows that Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy can treat and prevent Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders.

Join me and learn how to use this evidence-based treatment in your work! In this two day training, there will be didactic work and role plays.

Day 1:

CBT for perinatal depression, anxiety, and basic OCD.

  • CBT for PPD and PPA

  • “From Theory to Practice” Framework

Day 2:

A deep dive into perinatal OCD and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). We will specifically emphasize the CBT skills needed for patients struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Review of CBT for PMADS

  • CBT for OCD- Introduction to Exposures 

  • Exposures and Response Prevention

  • Background information on Perinatal OCD- statistics

  • Discussion on OCD Intrusive Thoughts Resources

  • Diagnosis & treatment options

  • Role Plays

Ruthie is an experienced therapist, group practice owner, researcher, and presenter. Ruthie has been published in a number of acclaimed journals and publications including the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the Journal of Maternal and Child Health, and The Atlantic. Ruthie has presented at conferences including the Postpartum Support International Conference and The Maternal and Infant Child Mental Health Summit. Ruthie is also involved in advocacy work and has presented before the Washington D.C. City Council on behalf of maternal and child mental health bills.
